Marketers

Your Friday report,
already done

You launched on Twitter, sent the newsletter, posted on LinkedIn. Now the question is which one actually moved the needle. Each link carries its own UTM tags, so clicks sort themselves by channel. When your manager asks for the numbers, you screenshot the dashboard.

No spreadsheet merging, no guessing which link was which.

Developers

One POST,
one short link

Your app generates invite links, share URLs, receipt pages. They’re all ugly and long. Hit the API, get a short one back. Custom domain? Point a CNAME and every new link comes out branded.

Token auth, JSON in/out, no SDK required.

Creators

Your link,
your brand

You share a link on Twitter or in a group chat and the preview card shows some random hosting page title. With slsh.me, you control the OG image, title, and description. The link looks like it came from your brand, because it did.

Works with any link, even if the original has no OG tags at all.

Questions

Is slsh.me really free?

Yes, completely. No paid tiers. Custom domains, analytics, all link features — included.

How is this different from Bitly?

Bitly paywalls custom domains, expiry, and password protection. Here, all of that is free.

What analytics do I get?

Clicks, uniques, country, city, browser, OS, device, and referrer. All real-time, all first-party. No cookies, no external scripts.

Is there an API?

REST API with token auth. Create, update, delete, list links. Grab your token from settings.

Will my links break if slsh.me goes down?

Multi-region deployment, so downtime is unlikely. And it’s open source — you can self-host anytime.
